Privacy policy

This policy explains how Hopr Digital Labs LLC ("we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares information through the petAIdoc app, the petaidoc.com website and related services (the "Service"). It forms part of our Terms of use.

Information we collect

• Account information. From the third-party sign-in provider you use: your email address, an account identifier and possibly your name.
• Mobile numbers. Mobile numbers you add to your account, and confirmation that you control them.
• Your content. Information you provide about your pets and their care, and messages, files and other content you add to the Service.
• Communications you receive. Communications that people and businesses you deal with send you through the Service, in whatever form, with details such as sender and time. We store them in your account.
• Device permissions. If you allow it, the app uses your device's camera and microphone for features you choose to use, and your location to find nearby places. Some of this processing happens on your device.
• Technical information. Technical and log information, such as IP address, device and browser type and request times, processed automatically to run and secure the Service.

How we use information

We use information to:

• provide, secure and improve the Service, including through automated processing of your content and the communications you receive;
• confirm your mobile numbers and send the texts described in our Terms of use;
• communicate with you about your account and the Service, including changes to our terms or this policy;
• prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents, and enforce our terms; and
• comply with law and protect our users, us and others.

We do not show advertising or send marketing texts.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information in your account is not visible to other accounts, except to people you choose to give access and to anyone you send it to. Subject to the limits in "Mobile numbers and text messages" below, we disclose information only:

• to service providers that host, store and process information (including by automated means), provide sign-in and deliver telecommunications for us, acting on our behalf;
• when you direct us to or consent;
• when we believe in good faith that law or legal process requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, us or others; and
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy.

Mobile numbers and text messages

We use your mobile number to confirm it and to send the texts you opted in to receive. Service providers that deliver our texts receive mobile numbers only to do so on our behalf. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text messaging opt-in with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Retention

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, it is closed at once and everything in it is erased 30 days later, unless you sign back in before then to keep it. You can also erase it right away. After that, we keep only what we need for legal, security, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution purposes, such as a record that the account was deleted and when, and the pet mail addresses and customer number it used, so they are never given to anyone else. Deleted information may remain in backups for a limited period.

Your choices

You can delete your account and everything in it at any time: in the app, under Profile, then Delete account; or on petaidoc.com, from Delete account at the bottom of the page after you sign in. You can also ask to access, correct or delete your information by emailing legal@hoprdigitallabs.com. We may need to verify your identity first. You may have additional rights under the law where you live, which we will honor as required. You can change device permissions in your device settings and stop texts at any time by replying STOP.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The Service is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where we operate

We operate the Service from the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and wherever our service providers operate, where privacy laws may differ from yours.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common standard for them, the Service does not respond to them. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, but a sign-in provider may collect information when you use it, under its own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

We will post any update here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated policy.
